This is decidedly a terrible lineup.

 

I would rather they have waited a year and gotten a better lineup. No Billie or Kendrick is a huge disappointment.

I can't go to Riot this year, so I will make Lolla happen. Never been in my 13 years of living in Chicago!

Yeah, I'll be grabbing a single day for Foo Fighters. If JEW, AVA, White Reaper, and/or All Time Low are the same day I'll be happy enough.

 

The top half is kinda hip hop heavy which is fine but I can see that being a turn off for some. Also the undercard drops off pretty quickly which sucks.

Undercard drops off about halfway through, but the Limp Bizkit/Modest Mouse line is fire. Would be nice if they had a “rock” days where all the good bands play lol.

Once I get to Orville on the undercard I pretty much recognize one other act (Michigander). Otherwise - fuck.

 

Do single days go on sale today or only full passes? Because i'd go on the Foo day and that is decidedly it.

Depends on when they sell out weekend passes. Before 2019 it was always the same week on Friday. This year…I think we’ll be waiting for a while.

 

Looking at this, I'd watch Foo Fighters, Post Malone, Tyler the Creator, Miley Cyrus, Dababy, Megan Thee Stallion, Brockhampton, Young Thug, Limp Bizkit, Modest Mouse, Jack Harlow, Jimmy Eat World, Young the Giant, Angels & Airwaves, All Time Low, Marc Rebillet, Freddie Gibbs, The Front Bottoms, Oliver Tree, Kim Petras, Rico Nasty, JPEGMafia, White Repaer, Mick Jenkins, Black Pistol Fire, Michigander, and Aly & AJ so I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a sizable amount for me to want to go.

probably will go on the foo day assuming my wife wants to but this is just not for me. Pitchfork it is.

This lineup is insane. Holy shit

 

There's too many better acts for my taste touring this fall (and I am sure more to be announced) that I would rather spend money on than this, so I may just pass altogether, but if one day (hopefully Foo Fighters day) is at least somewhat stacked I'll consider.

 

That’s what I’m telling myself but then I remember that even on good days I have like four acts that I truly care to see.

Only time it really worked out for me was 2019 when I got Gambino, Janelle Monae, Death Cab, Maggie Rogers, J Brekkie, and Idles. Truly an odd occurrence for how the lineups usually go.

 

That day in 2019 was one of my favorite ever festival days. Omar Apollo -> Boy pablo -> IDLES -> Tierra Whack -> Maggie Rogers -> Janelle Monae -> Childish Gambino. Just unreal levels of talent all day long
