Anyone else going to Lolla this weekend? I'll be going Friday and Sunday for Radiohead and LCD Soundsystem. I've grown pretty tired of the festival in general, but there was no way I'd miss seeing two of my all-time favorite bands. Can't wait!

Haven't decided if I'll go next year yet. There's definitely a conceivable set of headliners that would get me back (some combination of Arcade Fire, Green Day, Foo Fighters, and/or Muse), but four days is a lot for this fest.
2016 was the first year in a while that I didn't go, 4 days is such a huge commitment with work and life in general, especially when the headliners (for me at least) were uninteresting. Lolla does well moving up bands from smaller side stages to the larger ones, but then you're getting quite a few repeats every couple of years. Think (for better or worse) the festival bubble is bursting (or on the verge of bursting), which will be interesting to say the least.
Yeah, I'm curious how long the current festival climate will sustain itself as well. There's only so many artists that can pull the crowds that these festivals need, and new ones aren't coming up fast enough. The headliners were definitely what sold me this year. Radiohead, LCD, and to a lesser extent RHCP are all bands I had wanted to see for a long time and probably won't get a ton of chances to, so it made sense for me. I'm much more likely to go for a single day or two in the future.
I only did Saturday, which was enough for me. I felt like half the crowd was wearing the 4 day wristbands. Ya'll are crazy. PS. Bought that bottle of wine from Cupcake Wine, it was delicious.
