If I had to guess maybe this is a remix album sort of deal like Vein put out last year with maybe a new track/some goodies

 

extension of the album AKA everyone loved the songs that sounded like Deftones so we made more of those?

John Waugh is a saxophonist and Peter Vybiral is the guitarist in parting gift.

 

Been hearing this might actually be a new full-length project... we’ll see!

they're calling this a "collection of atmospheres". don't know what that means, but i'm here for it.

I'm feeling ambient record right about now, which would be a bizarre turn for them to take, but they already took one before and it worked out great sooooo

 

I'm all for super talented bands just doing whatever the fuck they want.

 

Drip drip on the new album. It’s up on alterportal and it’s very ambient and atmospheric. no lyrics

 

probably pass.

 

This is very cool and very pretty. I probably won't listen to it a ton but props to them for delivering something unique and outside the box. I'm more excited for this band's future than I am for pretty much anyone else atm

 

also idk how i missed Hayley Williams having this band's heaviest song on her personal playlist lol

 

Love that she has concrete by poppy on there. She's so cool.

 

This band is something else. I can't wait to see what their next full length will sound like. The progression from Cold Sun to I Let it in is incredible.

 

I respect them for being willing to put out a record like this but judging the album for what it is, it's not good at all. It sounds like some thrown out ideas they'd been playing around with for the original record, with no development, colour or depth. Some cool textures aside, it's a nothing record. Ambient for people who don't listen to ambient. Barely even worthy of being put out as bonus tracks to ILIIAITE.

Every bit of ambient on ILIIAITE is better than this.

The split track titles "Do you -" "- remember -" "- the moment?" is a bit cringeworthy too.

 

I mean, it’s not that bad lol
