This is really good. I need to give their last LP an actual listen. Is it like this?

yes, albeit maybe a bit more melodic (assuming you're talking about I Let It In, The Things They Believe is an instrumental companion album)

We reach for the longest shadow

It’s a pretty typical “metallic hardcore discovers melody” album but executed really well. Has a Deftones-esque atmosphere on the more melodic tracks.

i'm sure there was some logic to dropping a single song, doing a handful of press bits and then dipping, but it hasn't made much sense to me

Yeah I completely forgot they were teasing a new album and dropped a new song. There’s been a ton of good music released lately however and I kinda blame that for distracting me.

    Ive been here before

I think they’ve built up enough hype from their extensive touring that no matter what the release schedule looks like it’s gonna pop off

Have nothing to report here so apologies in advance. It is pretty funny it looks like they are going into yet another touring cycle with no album, but with most of the shows already sold out that had me thinking that at this point these guys are the perfect candidate for a surprise album drop, may actually generate more conversation for them than an actual rollout at this point

again not saying anything based in reality here/mostly just copium

  11. Yeah I was surprised to find out they’re coming to Luxembourg in December even though the album still hasn’t been announced. Perhaps they’re going to release a second single in the coming weeks with an album drop in November

so funny to me how this album first came into my life as an alternative to deftones dragging their feet releasing ohms, and in the five years since weve gotten two deftones albums and no loathe lol

Will never understand why we are nearing 6 years from the last album.

    idk man

New song according to the setlist from their show last night is called Revenant. No sign on when they'll drop it, but there's a name to it.
