The new song is incredible. But I'm quite sad it's just two songs. Thought we were getting a full length but that's apparently down the line...

 

Yeah, they haven't really clarified what the album is going to be. Four 7" singles, and some of the songs are on the full length and some might not be? It's confusing.

 

Completely agreed. From some of their social media posts I actually thought the whole album was going to be released yesterday!

Glad the music is likely to be incredible! Makes up for short term confusion.

Like the new song but that first song is something else. So different and individual/original and full of emotion without being sappy. Gonna dig into the back catalogue now, where should I start?

 

Personally I think their last album Time Is A Machine is where everything clicked - the musical backdrop and the spoken word lyrics.

Wooden Heart is a must listen for the lyrics. And some of their best songs are there. I just think TIAM is more cohesive and everything fit perfectly.

I haven't heard the older albums before those two actually.

 

Yeah, Wooden Heart definitely has the best lyrics and is more chilled out. Return to Struggleville is also quite good.

Yeah that is one of the best songs from this year. No doubt.

 

Aw man, I really wanted to go to that show.

 

So I checked out wooden heart and time is a machine. They are both awesome unlike any other band. I prefer wooden heart I think with the song wooden heart and falling in love with glaciers being standouts. But the closer in time is a machine is something else. Can't believe I slept on this band for so long.

 

Also can to buy/download there's money in the walls anywhere?

 

Why am I just finding out about a new album today? Just listened to There's Money in These Walls... Love this band so much I check in every once in a while to see if they are doing anything new & today I win! Also has anyone ever listened to Deepspace 5?

I remember listening to Listener for the first time and not making the link to Deepspace 5. Hell, I even had the Listener & EQ album and still didn't make the link haha!
