Hell yea. I want to have an everyone week. My goal is to keep this going long term, so I want to keep it varied between heavy hitters and smaller favorites, bounce between genres, etc. Oh you KNOW there will be a Toto week If I branch into the 90s, you know he's happening
@cshadows2887 If you branch into the 90s, will you be dedicating one week to the Spice Girls or extending it to give hem the space and time they deserve
More or less, yeah. Just with more freedom. Rather than the one book for everyone, you get to customize your week to what fits you. You can't see the face I am making right now, but you know me well enough that I bet you can imagine it
I was about to remind you about a certain band and song that do it without fail and then was like...why would I give you that ammo
Suggestions for future bands, along the heavier/underground side of things: Led Zeppelin The Stooges Black Sabbath King Crimson MC5 Motorhead Velvet Underground The Kinks The Cramps Talking Heads Thin Lizzy Can Joy DIvision Deep Purple Pink Floyd Television Big Star Jimi Hendrix Experience The Rolling Stones Jethro Tull
I'm planning to hit everything. I actually had 3 or 4 of those in the running to pop up in the next few weeks. Definitely going to be trying to run the gamut from jazz to pop to singer songwriter to soul to rock, etc
something i was just thinking about. would it be an idea to set up a direct message conversation to alert users that a new artist has been chosen? it's probably a lot of work to collate all of the users into one conversation to send them to. i feel like just thread bumps could get buried in the mountain of notifications users can get if they're active. any thoughts?
