This looks like something Tim Burton would have put out in the early 90s, looks fun.

 

This was really good, felt like an actual 90s movie, not just an ommage

Really enjoyed it. Jennifer's Body vibes are definitely present, but it's also it's own thing. Taffy was my favorite, so funny.

 

I enjoyed this! Definitely a little unfocused but fun enough for me to not care

 

Dunno what didn’t make sense about this. Seemed pretty straightforward to me!

And yeah, I dug it. Liza Soberano was the highlight (hope to see her in more things), but Kathryn Newton also clearly was having a great time. And the whole aesthetic, with the lighting and lil stylistic flourishes here and there, was just right for this kinda flick. Not gonna be in my, like, top 10 of the year or anything, but just what I wanted it to be.

 

Visually this was great, however I’m a bit disappointed in Diablo’s script, it didn’t have much of a bite compared to some of her other films.

 

Unfortunately disappointed with this one.

 

Absolutely adored this, the campiest movie I've watched in a while. Zelda Williams (and Kathryn Newton) are the future

Did any else get the vibe the sister and dad were hooking up at the end? Or just me?

 

yea, I really wanted to like it but it only worked like 25% of the time for me. Felt like a first draft and a first edit. Needed to be faster and punchier, lots of awkward space. Might have just been my literally empty theater. I probably would have loved it when I was a young lad.

So glad someone enjoyed it as much as I did, I had a total blast. Felt so timeless and charming and genuinely fun
