I’m hoping we get the Hybrid Theory EP & Live in Texas on vinyl. Even though I know the EP won’t ever happen. It’s not even on streaming and hasn’t been issued physically since the re-release of it for the first LPU release. I don’t know why Live In Texas wasn’t issued when they were going back through their discography and pressing everything. Road to Revolution was.
True Linkin Park heads know: Grey Daze was Chester Bennington's first real band. In 2020, three years after the singer's death, the surviving members of the group will release an album of re-recorded songs featuring contributions from members of Korn, P.O.D. and Bush, as well as Chester's 23-year-old son Jaime. The record should, according to Chester's widow, Talinda, provide fans with "a better understanding of his art and a more full picture of his journey through this incredible music."
yeah it's not LP stuff, sounds like they re-recorded some really early Grey Daze demos with various singers. sounds really cool
I used to listen to Grey Daze back when I was a young teenager and was just devouring everything LP related I could find. Hearing this is super nostalgic and has got me all emotional.
Mike's livestreams of him making beats/instrumentals on his Youtube over the past week or so are really cool
the new from ashes to new song is giving off major lp hybrid theory vibes with some screams that remind me of chester
I’m game for a project with LP members and Mike on lead but I do think they should start it up with a new name. I just can't imagine how they'd do the old songs live without Chester.
The only two old songs that were must-haves in the set I could see being an issue are Faint and One Step Closer, and even then I feel like they could find a way to make at least Faint work.
