Suggesting that a band change their name when the singer (and its always the singer) leaves/passes is one of my least favourite thing that music fans do.

 

Have had Hybrid Theory on repeat for the last 4 days. Lyrics like “I’m about to break”, “these wounds will not heal” and “I want to runaway and never say goodbye” are all very relatable right now.

 

Please say sike.

Is there any indication that’s for Linkin Park?

 

Nothing to confirm or deny if it’s for LP or Solo. My guess is solo

Really hoping it’s lp related but my guess it’s solo stuff again. I don’t think we will hear anything from lp anytime soon

I would imagine they have a lot of unreleased material. Maybe that?

 

They’ve released a very good portion of b-sides/unreleased stuff on the LP Underground CDs over the years. And the last few years were recent stuff (Hunting Party era) so I’d say they’re pretty caught up with that stuff. Obviously, there could always be more (and probably is.) But it would be cool to have a lot of that stuff “officially” released as a b sides album. I’d even take a greatest hits record.

I would love for it to be LP, but the fact that it’s not the LP accounts posting it is making me keep my expectations low. Next year also marks the 20 year & 10 year anniversaries of Hybrid Theory & A Thousand Suns. Maybe something related to either of those.

A Thousand Suns keeps growing on me. It should deserve some retroactive praise for its upcoming 10 year anniversary.

 

The little tidbit about the creation of the album in the liner notes of the record still gets me excited every time I read it right before I listen to the album.

 

I've always loved it.

 

It would be a joy to write a retrospective on that album. I’ll do it if I can!

 

Never understood why people hate A Thousand Suns.
