Saw Crawling pop up on Spotify, nice to see a full live album is coming. This is still so painful, can't imagine how tough it is on the band to put something like this together knowing he's gone.
That kind of performance coming from an opening band is incredible too. They looked/sounded/felt like a headliner
lol this is crazy LINKIN PARK Kicked Out Of American Music Awards Moments After Getting An Award - Metal Injection
The tribute show video has been edited, some of the audio sounds better. They even fixed the audience singing off beat!
I revisited all the albums through A Thousand Suns this last weekend. Meteroa still fucking rips. I do not remember Chester having so much vocal power. The one-two combo of Lying From You into Hit the Floor is doooope. Hybrid Theory has pretty much been overplayed for me. I don't think there's much they do there that they don't do better on Meteora. I still don't love Minutes to Midnight, but it does have some great songs. In Pieces is a fun one and I'm still a sucker for In Between. The biggest surprise for me was how much I liked A Thousand Suns. I HATED it when I was younger. But it really is a cohesive body of work and Waiting For the End might be my favorite Linkin Park song now. It's damn good.
I've championed ATS since day one. Seriously, the balls on a band as big as LP to release a left turn concept album. I am so happy that lots of people have begun to appreciate it so many years later.
Yo the live release is fantastic. Fallout/Roads Untraveled will go down as one of my favorite intros ever, and Chester sounded great.
One More Light Live is excellent. I had bought tickets for my wife and I to see them with Blink at Citi Field shortly before Chester passed away. This definitely exceeds how I thought they might've sounded. Great release.
This is a great listen and glad they released it. I agree with @TEGCocco that the intro rocked and flowed really well into Talking to Myself. I personally think their One Step Closer intro on Road to Revolution is their best though. Speaking of that song, it is sorta weird to hear an LP set without the heavy hitters like that one and Faint. After hearing the cd, I guess they wanted to show off just the new stuff and the songs that showed off Chesters voice.
Was gonna buy the live album cause I thought it came with a live DVD as well since they kept promoting it with videos. Downloaded it and listened to it last night while wrapoinoresents. The new songs sounded so good live. I’m pretty sure they’re continuing on, Mike’s been posting some photos of them in his home studio.
