Also I was kind of dreading Deryck trying to sing The Catalyst even though I love Sum 41 but that was the best he's sounded live in years
I was impressed with every single performance last night. Even ones who are known to not be so good live like Blink did awesome. Intense show which I am man enough to admit made me tear up a couple times
Did anyone notice that Phoenix played guitar and Mike played bass for Shadow of the Day? If they normally switch it up for that song, I never noticed it before.
Watched some of this last night with friends before we headed out, seemed really really good. Planning to watch the whole thing later today.
Yo that was pretty easily the best show I've ever been to. It was so worth the trip out to LA. I lost it at Talinda's speech and Looking For An Answer
It sounded killer. Gates's solo was top notch and Shadows sounded fantastic on this and Burn It Down. All the guests, really, sounded great.
I thought M Shadows did great on both the slow song and heavier one. It was nice to see them come out and show support, esp since they went through a similar thing with the Rev.
Me and the missus were really impressed with the whole night. You can tell it was a hard time for guys but everyone killed it and we both said we thought Mike absolutely nailed it. You can tell he's a great guy all round. There were some great performances but one of the early highlights was the singer from One Ok Rock. Dude came out with some right energy and smashed Somewhere I Belong.
As with the above poster, I’ve been thinking about and listening to a lot of Linkin Park the last day or so. What an incredible band with such a rich catalogue and so many different sounds. Chester gave an incredible gift to the world, it’s still hard to believe he is gone.
Oh, and that concert DVD filmed in Texas in 2003 is maybe one of the best live vocal performances ever recorded. Holy hell. The power behind his voice during that show combined with nearly perfect pitch... unbelievable...
One More Light - Live Album December 15th RECORDED LIVE ON THE ONE MORE LIGHT WORLD TOUR 2017 TALKING TO MYSELF BURN IT DOWN BATTLE SYMPHONY NEW DIVIDE INVISIBLE NOBODY CAN SAVE ME ONE MORE LIGHT CRAWLING LEAVE OUT ALL THE REST GOOD GOODBYE (FEAT. STORMZY) WHAT I'VE DONE IN THE END SHARP EDGES NUMB HEAVY BLEED IT OUT
For sure picking that up, love the cover they chose. I like the amount of OML songs on it. Since their last live release was during MtM, I wish they'd swap put the HT/Metora/MtM tracks for ATS, Living Things and Hunting Party since we already have 2 live albums with those other tracks on them.
Only one I think is unnecessary is Numb. LOATR and Crawling are completely different versions of the song, WID has the sweet, sweet intro and solo, and the crowd interaction on In The End this last tour was dope. Bleed It Out is sort of needed since it was used to close the shows. That said, not including either WFTE or Catalyst is disappointing. I just hope Talking To Myself has that Roads Untraveled/Fallout intro
I agree on Numb and would still say In The End and What I've Done should have been left out. The crowd sang In The End on the last live album and even though I do like the extended solo/bridge for WID, it's not enough to keep it over another song. Would have loved to hear Lost in the Echo and the two you stated, WFTE and Catalyst. Good call on Crawling though, I forgot they starting playing it piano only. I can't wait to be able to own that version actually.
They were playing, like, half of Lost In The Echo live so you're not missing much there lol By and large this isn't a half bad selection. All of the OML songs they played live, LOATR, Crawling, and the big singles. The ATS exclusion is sort of harsh though
You are right again, I also forgot that they started playing like abridged versions of songs. I think along with Lost in the Echo, the Catalyst was shortened too so that may be a reason why it wasn't included also.
