True. I get why Wastelands seems like a more genetic rap verse and sing chorus song and Guilty is basic too. A Place For My Head is a staple LP song though, esp so early in their career. Nobody's Listening has some cool Japanese inspired music and was one of the few hip hop leaning tracks early on, so I give it credit for that. In the long look at their discography now it doesn't seem like that good of a song, but at the time of release it meant more I guess. I would still never say any of these are bad songs overall, but I get the argument that they may be bad compared to the band's potential.
Totally fell off this bracket, got distracted by the Brand New. I'm happy with the end results though. I was only in it for one round, but at least that round introduced me to One More Light. I've really enjoyed the album.
Yeah, the more I listen to the album the more Nobody Can Save Me Now is moving up my list for favorite LP songs. Halfway Right seems like a super personal song. I wonder what he is talking about, sounds like he may have killed someone driving under the influence
I'm thankful that we did brackets for all the albums! It really helped me get into One More Light and The Hunting Party.
Been a while since I've listnred to Meteora front to back. The two albums I've spun from them most in the last while have been MTM and oddly enough OML.
That special show is probably going to be insane, I bet. Wondering how many A-list singers/musicians they'll bring out.
I can see members of Blink being part of it somehow. Probably musicians from other alternative rock bands, like Staind maybe? I'm not really sure who else. Speculate with me?
I could definitely see Aaron Lewis, Jonathan Davis, Jay-Z (thinking of past collaborators here)...I'm sure they'll get some huge names to join them.
Posted this in the video thread as well: It still doesn't feel real. This song helped me through a time in my life where I had daily thoughts of suicide. When he committed suicide it absolutely gutted me, and made me reach out for help. I feel like because of this I'll always have an extremely emotional connection to this song, and Chester's passing. In a way he saved me, in the most tragic way possible.
I'm glad she shared this on Twitter. It's very important to point out that depression isn't always in the forefront day to day.
I have a presale code for the memorial show from the OML fund for donating when we were doing the brackets. Obviously cannot use it living in TN and all. If anyone wants it PM me
I just couldn't miss this. Flying in from Chicago, and it just so happens to line up perfectly with my 18th birthday (show is the 27th, my birthday is the 28th).
