The question is why are you assuming so much about me from some posts on the internet? Everyone has a different tone on here and it's pretty unreasonable to go after me like that when most of my posts are either joking around with people or in some thread saying I love something. Don't know why you feel the need to go after me personally, but I'd prefer if you cut it out.
I love FM and even tough I voted Waiting For the End, I figured it'd put up more of a fight. The Faint/PC and Echo/BIT matches are getting intense!
Two very close matchups! I like the song One More Light, but it's too bad (in my opinion) that it'll advance farther than Final Masquerade, Faint/Papercut, and Lost In The Echo/Bleed It Out.
No matter what B-side track won that round, I didn't expect it to stand a chance between any album track. It actually looks out of place here to me lol.
I don't think I've even heard QWERTY. I didn't vote in the B-sides round because I only knew like two of those songs.
You should check it out on YouTube. It started getting radio play before MTM, but didn't end up making the record. It's got some pretty heavy moments.
Lost in the Echo is good and it's my favorite LT song, but it's a little paint by numbers LP. Again, not a bad thing, but Bleed It Out is more unique to me with the way they use the expected Mike verses and Chester choruses in a totally different type of song. It's one of the band's best songs period.
If I just had to choose a final four based purely on what I think right now, my top four LP songs are Bleed It Out, Keys to the Kingdom, Heavy, and The Catalyst. In no particular order.
I've gotten over it now, but it turned me off that there was so much swearing on MTM. I always thought it was cool how they were one of the few bands from that genre who didn't use swear words on their records.
Given that LP was the second band I really discovered and I was used to Green Day, I definitely thought it was strange that they didn't swear at all in those first two releases. When I first heard Given Up and Bleed It Out, I sorta had this moment like "oh shit, it's happening now" haha.
Also, because we're all just kinda fucking around here and because I'm curious to see what I really think, I'm going to try ranking all LP album tracks. Feel free to join, I'll probably post when the bracket is over
I've never actually done it for any band before, but I feel like it might be a bit easier for these guys than other bands. Still tough though. Like... I have no idea what would end up #1.
Speaking of when this bracket is over, I posted about the upcoming ETID bracket earlier this morning. Head on over if you're interested later today!
