In The End- I've heard this song so many times that it's definitely kind of worn out its welcome for me, but I can still recognize that it's a good song that deserves its status. A Place For My Head- Pushing Me Away is a really good song too, but something about the Chorus feels kinda rushed to me now, if that makes sense? Place For My Head has a really simple but effective main riff, really good verses and choruses, and a classic bridge. Also, the second pre-Chorus is a little moment that stands out as an album highlight to me. Papercut- This was a difficult one. I think these might be my two favorite songs on the album, and Papercut just barely edges out PoA for me. I absolutely love the bridge in this song and how it extends into the final chorus. Forgotten- Not the biggest fan of the Chorus melody in this one, but literally everything else I really like, especially the bridge. Forgotten is similar to me, has one repeating part I'm not huge on (pre-Chorus), but otherwise I like everything else, however I just think Forgotten is stronger all around.
@bachna84 @truelovewaits my two are on nothing but Paw Patrol and Cat in the Hat. Every now and then I can sneak in a Justice League Action.
We do some Paw Patrol from time to time. Mother Goose Club on Netflix is also a favorite (but sometimes gets stuck in my head which can be pretty rough)
My daughter wants Sid The Science Kid on all day every day. I swear I probably have every word memorized by now. I hope my twins are into something else, luckily they're only a couple months old currently.
My son doesn't watch TV. We Saiyans start training at very early ages, he's already up to 10x Earth's normal gravity!
Another Sunday Morning Update: In The End-20 Runaway-2 Pushing Me Away-8 A Place For My Head-14 Papercut-17 Points of Authority-5 Forgotten-9 With You-13
I did not expect Points of Authority to lose so bad. That song, plus its Reanimation version, were awesome back in the day. I can remember the crazy anime music video for it being on MuchMusic/MTV all the time.
The reanimation version hits a lot harder I think and I can only assume other people think the same with it loosing by a lot.
That concept is super left field too, taking your heavy rock album and transforming it into a huge sampling fiesta. If any band tried it now I feel it would never catch as well as it did for Linkin Park. But not only did it work for them, Reanimation kinda put them on the map mainstream-wise.
I had heard it before, but today was the first time in years that I went back to it. Pretty enjoyable listen!
I mean, my pick for winner went out round 1, so I can definitely get down with Papercut or With You taking the W here
There hasn't been a vote in 5 hours and we have the same number of votes as the previous round, might be time to call it.
