@truelovewaits @Micool1 I'll abstain from voting in case we need to break a tie if it's ok with you two. We don't want to end up with a tie and have the brackets come to a grinding halt with @BTDandFeelingThis gone haha
I have to think all the votes for Bleed It Out over No Roads Left have to do with the fact that people just aren't as familiar with No Roads Left
I just listened to No Roads Left for the first time yesterday and I like it, but not more than Bleed It Out
Shadow Of The Day Bleed It Out No Roads Left Valentine's Day Little Things Give You Away What I've Done
Current Scores: Shadow Of The Day-11 Given Up-12 Bleed It Out-20 No Roads Left-3 Valentines Day-5 Little Things Give You Away-18 What I've Done-7 No More Sorrow-16
I was just listening to Leave Out All the Rest and realized it was knocked out. I can't believe Shadow of the Day might take out both that and Given Up.
I'd put No Roads Left only below BIO, NMS, and VD. On some days GU may surpass it, but that chorus is one of mikes finest moments.
These brackets are a lot of fun and it's always interesting seeing the different opinions. But everyone is being a good sport about it. Are there other ones going on atm? or plans for more?
That's the point of them :) Already ran: Blink-182 Taking Back Sunday The Wonder Years Currently Going On: Linkin Park Relient K Possible Future Ones after LP: Silverstein Hawthorne Heights Brand New Story Of The Year Thrice
We did have one guy rage quit half way through the Blink-182 one because none of his favorites won the three brackets prior and one guy call everyone idiots because the winner from Dude Ranch wasn't his personal choice nor did it's winner dominate the champion round. Only two 'bad sport' instances we've had
In the Blink thread, unsurprising. Brand New may be one band to invoke a selfish protective spirit in me. Come to think of it, that would very much be the most difficult band for me to do. Can't say I wouldn't participate though. I don't know if this is limited to specific genres, level of popularity or length of band history, but some great, tough ones I can think to do would be: Third Eye Blind Every Time I Die New Found Glory Bayside Saves The Day (Though there is a large portion of that discography that could disappear from existence and everything would be fine) Deftones Just food for thought!
All very good ones, just ones I am unqualified to run myself as not being a huge fan of any of them. Feel free to take the idea and run with it though lol And hey, the Blink thread has some jerks like that but there's also some cool people there too :) we had about 50-60 people playing in a couple of those games too lol
Oh I don't doubt that it was probably excellent. Blink is just so big and this site has acquired a vast following of Blink fans both level headed and very stubborn/dedicated i'll say haha. 50-60 people, and only 2 lost their cool? That's a surprising ratio lol.
