I was wondering that too. I guess it probably doesn't really matter too much. They'd likely get knocked out early.
I'd add Blackbirds to ATS so it's a 16 song tournament. Even though songs like The Radiance and Empty Spaces will get voted out early, it doesn't seem fair to not give songs like Jornada and Fallout any chance.
I'd probably include them just because someone somewhere would be upset if I didn't. I probably won't do Reanimation but I may include Blackbirds on ATS, and do a separate bracket for the Underground EPs so awesome songs like QWERTY, Pretend To Be, and Part of Me have a shot.
The charity is a super cool idea! Is there a way we could set up a counter so that we could see how much we raised just through this thread? I don't know if that would be too much work but that would be super cool to see
I'll do some googling...we could just keep a tally of donations by word of mouth but it would be cool to have something verifiable
I like talk of giving b sides like QWERTY a shot, but we can't forget the great New Divide. That being a soundtrack song but such a staple in their sets since it released, where would that go?
Late to the game but I'd say move backwards through discog Include album-specific b sides in the album bracket and the rest in their own. Can't forget the song with The rapper, drawing a blank. Great song though. We did it was the name? Don't care to bracket reanimation. Charity idea is great! Good thinking
I've always thought Reanimation was solid. A great re-working of Hybrid Theory. Stoked to get started on this!
I think Reanimation, as a whole, is superior to Hybrid Theory. There are a few duds, but come on. Krwlng, 1stp Klosr, P5hng, Pts, Frgt/10 etc. Love 'em
I couldn't find any verifiable options but what foundation do we want to support? I will send an email to them and see if they have something we could use. If not we can just do word of mouth. I just thought it would be a cool idea
Linkin Park's own Music For Relief is forwarding all donations to the One More Light fund in his honor, I was thinking that one and/or the National Suicide Prevention Hotline foundation
