He’s trolling an article that was on sterogum back in march given they have been playing nothing but sold out shows and to some of their biggest crowds ever. They played Wembley on Saturday to like 80k people
I thought it said "lid" at first glance, so thanks for pointing that out, although it doesn't really clear anything up.
Definitely referencing Lidl because Emily during the song Two Faced at one of the stadium shows on this run.. instead of singing the chorus "Two Faced, Caught In The Middle" instead she sang "Toothpasted, Caught In The Lidl" as a joke and some fans caught on it and that's why she's wearing the Lidl outfit for the final night the stadium tour!
‘People lashed out because she wasn’t a guy’: Linkin Park on nu-metal, nostalgia and their new frontwoman
That's some revisionist history of I've ever seen it. Her being female is not even remotely the issue people had with her. Like, 2% of the fan base has that be their issue... Absolutely just trying to steer the ship how they want
To be fair, I don't think a large amount of people care about the scientology thing either. If you look around, a lot of negative comments are just general statements about how "no one can replace Chester", which further muddies the issue.
Yeah that's totally fair, if you had to rank the issues people have, it's Not Chester She sounds bad on the songs Scientology weirdness She's a woman
Local radio DJ cited this “because she’s a woman” crap before they played one of the new songs calling us “sexist pigs” like come on people.
I’d swap the Scientology and woman points in that ranking. This is very unscientific but my perception has been that while the people that know AND care about the Scientology are very stern on it, I think they’re dwarfed by the people that probably say things like “LP trying to make news with a woman, etc” which gets extra scrutiny under the “nobody can replace Chester” umbrella.
