it feels like everything i've heard about LP's members post-Chester's passing has primarily focused on Mike's work. anyone know what the other 4 are up to these days?
The remix thing he released today is a collab with a company that uses AI to generate soundscapes Endel - Personalized soundscapes to help you focus, relax, and sleep. Backed by neuroscience.
Mr Hahn composed the score for a film called Blade of the 47 Ronin that came out in 2022, plus he was a judge on a Korean talent show. Phoenix apparently has a podcast about golf with some guy who used to work on LP? Rob, absolutely no idea, his official Insta has no posts lol. Brad co-wrote this song:
Papercuts is the name of this single album out april 12th QWERTY is on it track listing (friendly fire is track 20)
i hope they re-edited the studio version. the live version of QWERTY on the lpu cd is much better than the studio version.
No not yet. It’s up on Apple Music overseas in some places. Prolly won’t get anything in the us till later tonight when it hits midnight
Kinda wish they were putting an album's worth of non-album tracks from various eras, with updated mixing and maybe new elements where appropriate, into a proper, cohesive album. Like, not as bonus tracks or an EP or raw compilation of outtakes, but put together like a real studio full length. Maybe assembling "a new Linkin Park album" in that sense wouldn't feel right on their end, and if so, I get that. But selfishly on my end, I'd be more invested in that than these scattered oddities. Alas!
Just listened to Friendly Fire. Maybe it's only because I've missed Chester's voice, but I really enjoy it
LPU Has a bunch of unreleased stuff from over the years. Also they save all that stuff for the 20 year releases. I mean I’ve had QWERTY for 18 years
I’d be shocked if it’s not the studio version of qwerty. Have they been updating or altering any old LPU songs when including them in the boxsets?
Has A6 ever had Chester vocals on it? I am going crazy thinking about this song and how I've "heard" it before with Chester singing. Maybe I'm making it up or it's lost in my LPU days. Going through all of the Meteora-20 stuff right now and it's driving me crazy.
Brad said a long time ago that a clip of Chester recording vocals in one of the behind the scenes clips for Meteora was intended for A6, but that version never came out. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?
Possibly. It's just weird that my brain is filling in this chorus gap with cadences that sound correct, ha.
