Who's planning to get the Lost Demos for RSD BF? (Still kinda mad it wasn't included in the box set in the first place...)
This new Mike Shinoda EP is pretty awesome. On paper having 6 versions of the same song doesn't make sense, but he somehow made this actually feel like a real project
There are some very popular ABBA tribute bands (among others, that's just the most obvious example) and it wouldn't surprise me if, since LP is not touring, this is the next best thing for a lot of people.
Somewhat related, but I saw Silverstein the other night and they’re still playing their One Step Closer cover. I generally loathe covers in a set but the place went nuts for it throughout the song. Not sure I’d go to a full cover set by a band I don’t listen to but perhaps the demand is higher than I thought.
I saw Badfish once and it was pretty fun, so I imagine if the band is good enough, having a live destination is not a bad thing.
OK so after some research Hybrid Theory appears to be Portuguese and play most of their shows in Portugal (where the Altice Arena is) and Brazil. They've played some festivals in the US and UK but that's the bulk of it. Which tracks because "Mike" sounds like he learned his lines phonetically haha. The band proper played the Altice Arena, albeit when it was called something else, on the Meteora tour in 2003.
crazy how much more I'm into fine since that EP. either the new mix really brought it to life or it just works better in with these songs but I can't get enough of it recently wish he'd put Happy Endings on there though that song rules
I thought the Crimson Chapter was a pretty cool idea in trying to turn one song into a whole EP without it just feeling like a remix project (plus it proved that he remembered Fine exists which is probably his most underrated song), but it's getting ridiculous at this point. I don't know that we needed a 4-part AI-generated remix of a remix of a song that has like 7 completely separate remixes
