I don’t care for Reanimation being apart of this. I get it, since it’s the remix album, but I already have the vinyl and was hoping for another disc of the demos or unreleased stuff. I know there’s a shelved live record from 2001. Some of the tracks made it to the HT special edition and some singles/EPs from that era. But the whole show hasn’t been released.
Come on. So many threads on this site are full of people constantly talking about what they want stuff to be or what they’d rather have from the artist instead of what they actually are getting. We shouldn’t be complaining about anything artists do release wise, or tour wise, yet that’s all we do. Someone releases a long album, people complain it’s too long. Someone releases an EP, people complain that it’s too short. People talk about cutting songs from albums. Shouldn’t they be grateful to just have those songs to begin with? A tour’s not coming to our city? We complain about having to drive out of town. But again, we shouldn’t be complaining about any of that. Yet here we are, on the Internet. Where we discuss what we like or don’t like about something an artist is doing. I’m not ungrateful. These guys have been my favorite band since child hood and this was my “life changing” album. I’m buying this regardless. But 3 CDs of stuff that’s mostly been out for years, just cleaned up a bit? I’m sorry that I was expecting a bit more of unreleased stuff with how much they’ve been hyping all of this. Didn’t mean to stir you up so much bud.
you're entitled to be annoyed, I'm entitled to think it's ridiculous to complain. are the track lists for these CDs out?
I guess I am confused, how do you know that it's " 3 CDs of stuff that’s mostly been out for years, just cleaned up a bit" then?
It was up again on Amazon Germany, you could zoom in more and the CDs were “forgotten demos”, “b-sides & rarities” & “LPU rarities.” Most of the HT era LPU Songs have been taken down for YouTube probably for this release.
Track listing from the super deluxe page on Amazon. there’s also a $60 vinyl boxset that has HT, Reanimation and the B-Sides & Rarities. Interesting choice for them to include the B-sides vinyl in the regular box set, but not the super deluxe box set. Disc: 10 One Step Closer (Rock Mix) [B-Side Rarities] It's Goin' Down (feat. Mike Shinoda and Mr. Hahn) [B-Side Rarities] - By The X-Ecutioners Papercut (Live from the BBC) [B-Side Rarities] In The End (Live BBC Radio One) [B-Side Rarities] Points of Authority (Live BBC Radio One) [B-Side Rarities] High Voltage (B-Side Rarities) Step Up (1999 Demo) [B-Side Rarities] My December (B-Side Rarities) A Place for My Head (Live at Docklands Arena, London) [B-Side Rarities] Points of Authority (Live at Docklands Arena, London) [B-Side Rarities] Papercut (Live at Docklands Arena, London) [B-Side Rarities] Buy Myself (Marilyn Manson Remix) [B-Side Rarities] Disc: 11 In The End (Demo) [LPU Rarities] Dedicated (1999 Demo) [LPU Rarities] With You (Live at Docklands Arena, London) [LPU Rarities] High Voltage (Live at Docklands Arena, London) [LPU Rarities] Points of Authority (Demo) [LPU Rarities] Stick and Move ("Runaway" Demo 1998) [LPU Rarities] Esaul ("A Place for My Head" Demo) [LPU Rarities] Oh No ("Points of Authority" Demo) [LPU Rarities] Slip (1998 Unreleased Hybrid Theory Demo) [LPU Rarities] Grr (1999 Demo) [LPU Rarities] So Far Away (Unreleased 1998) [LPU Rarities] Coal (Unreleased Demo 1997) [LPU Rarities] Forgotten (Demo) [LPU Rarities] Sad ("By Myself" Demo 1999) [LPU Rarities] Hurry (1999 Demo) [LPU Rarities] Blue (1998 Unreleased Hybrid Theory Demo) [LPU Rarities] Chair (1999 "Part of Me" Demo) [LPU Rarities] Pts.Of.Athrty (Crystal Method Remix) [LPU Rarities] Disc: 12 Dialate (Xero Demo) Pictureboard She Couldn't Could Have Been Reading My Eyes (Xero Demo) Rhinestone (Xero Demo) Esaul (Xero Demo) Stick N Move (Demo) Carousel (Demo) Points of Authority (Demo) Crawling (Demo) SuperXero (By Myself Demo)
I wonder if "She Couldn't" will have the sample or if they had to cut it for legal reasons? either way: holy shit goddamn
Announcement video & She Couldn't I ended up buying both box sets. Gonna put the B-sides vinyl with my super deluxe and sell the other copies of HY & Reanimation. There's even more unreleased stuff from the Meteora era onwards. I'm hoping we get a deluxe box set for the rest of the albums going forward.
Seeing that concert footage just gave me chills. HT came out when I was in 9th grade and absolutely made a mark on me.
The way I understand it, they plan on doing this kind of celebration for every 20th anniversary. Maybe not as grandiose, but I'd expect some kind of release going forward
I love "She Couldn't" it sounds so good was hoping there'd be a bundle of just the CDs though, I cannot afford that box
I’m a bit bummed that there’s no variants, and that the EP is ONLY in the super expensive mega bundle
Mike confirmed on stream that not all the songs are with Chester on vocals, so I'm taking a fair guess and saying any of the demos marked as Xero demos (Dialate, Reading My Eyes, Rhinestone, and Esaul) have Mark Wakefield on vocals
I have mostly everything being released on this already but it will be nice to have mastered versions of hybrid theory ep album and xero demos Pre added on Apple Music and it has 80 tracks
