This was fun. Sad to know he passed so soon after, but it's nice to see these clips of him where he's enjoying time with his friends. That tribute show is gonna be something else.
I'm pumped to attend but a lot of people are telling me that I'm going to have the best time. I don't know if anyone is going to have a good time at this show but it will be cathartic.
A coworker of mine is going, she's quite excited. I think it will be great. Obviously bittersweet, but it will be a very special and cathartic experience. Lots of tears, both happy and sad. Likely one of the most memorable shows of your lifetime, a celebration of Chester's life and the music they made together! Enjoy yourself!
Yeah I'm incredibly excited to be there and this is the first time I'm going to California (I live in NJ). Like a lot of people, LP was that "gateway band" for me into this relatively underground music world. After seeing the Live in Texas DVD for the first time, that made me want to be in a band and perform. I tried to emulate my voice to be like Chester's but he's a once in a lifetime type of talent. This show, like you said, is incredibly special since everyone is going for the same reason. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the future with LP (since they keep hinting at moving on as a band) but for that night, it'll be the end of one hell of a story.
