This is me. That one even on Re-listens doesn't do much for me a whole

 

I don't really think that they are ending with oml. Seems like they will prob continue, based on some comments from the band

 

I can't say there's really an album from these guys I properly hate, but Meteora really stands out as the one I can point at and go "Yeah I could do without that one"

 

I don't hate any of their albums, but I will say that ATS is my least favorite

 

Agree heavily with the excess tracks comment. If you’re gonna fill half an album with interludes the other songs better kick ass.

 

And not only do they all kick ass, some of the interludes even stand strong enough on their own.

 

Hot take: only 3-4 songs on that album are worth listening to

 

If, and only if, "that album" refers to Meteora, I agree wholeheartedly :P

 

Hotter take: I’ll take Session over ATS

 

Well I'd take Session over most of Meteora and Hybrid Theory so there's that

 

They definitely got better on each of the first three albums. I can also understand preferring ATS to the first three, but MTM is my favorite. The last three are all weaker as a whole than the earlier ones though, with THP being the low point.

Finished the discography.

Keep in mind that I just heard all of these for the first time, so have no real nostalgic attachment other than the singles:

ATS>MTM>M>THP>HT>LT>OML

OML isn't as bad as I was expecting but it's still a shame they had to go out on this one. I also expect putting Hunting Party above HT to be controversial. Glad I finally went through their albums, sad about the circumstances that led to it


I wonder if Mike will make Fort Minor his main project now?

Really dig these songs. On a creative level, Mike's definitely the core of Linkin Park, and this EP is a strong reminder of that fact. Whatever he does going forward, whether under Linkin Park, Fort Minor, or Mike Shinoda, I'll follow him.

Nothing to say about the emotional aspect of this that wouldn't reiterate the obvious.

 

It's alright. my emotional attachment to the subject matter elevates the songs in ways.
