Don't Stay is so high energy and has a great bridge. I was with you with Burn It Down when LT was first released, but over time I really appericated how amazing Chester's voice is on it and of course Mike's small part is great too. I think it took me a bit to get into the 8bit music. Nice! and 2 OML songs on it.
Yip, in the second one. Waiting for the post credit scene was pretty cool as a kid because the soundtrack for that movie rocked.
It's awesome. I just rewatched those movies. I'm pretty sure Session is in Reloaded. The dropoff in quality after that first movie is staggering.
I have pretty unpopular opinions regarding this band's worst songs on LP fansites. Glad that holds true here lol
As long as you are a fan it's all good! Even though Metora is my 2nd favorite album by them, I've always had the unpopular opinion that they just copied and pasted HT. Don't Stay sounds and has the structure of One Step Closer. Easier to Run has the sound and structure of Crawling. Session and Numb are also like Cure and Pushing Me Away.
I've been saying that for years lol Don't Stay is an imitation of One Step Closer. Somewhere I Belong not so subtly takes cues from In The End (not a coincidence it was the lead single either). Numb and Pushing Me Away, Easier To Run and Crawling. Just the general structure/vibe of stuff like Lying From You and Faint. They experimented a bit (Breaking The Habit, From The Inside, Nobody's Listening), but the albums are incredibly similar.
Let's see if I can do a top 10: (no particular order) Papercut Somewhere I Belong Iridescent Figure.09 Shadow of the Day What I've Done Heavy Faint Breaking The Habit Lying From You
I never made the connection of Somewhere and In The End but I can see that too! I agree with all of that for sure. Even still, I love the songs even if they are rip offs of their previous work
I always had the idea to take the Crawling video and re edit it to Easier to Run, but Easier to Run is a longer song and it wouldn't work
ok... my top ten based on listen from my itunes (in no particular order): all for nothing it goes through qwerty (live version) in pieces one more light a place for my head hit the floor blackout until it breaks what we don't know honorable mentions: white noise in between wretches and kings i have not begun faint (live version w/extended outro)
Totally forgot about the song New Divide. That's a decent song. Kinda the same as What I've Done though.
True, I think since What I've Done blew up on the Transformers soundtrack, they wanted a similar sounding song for the next movie. I would still place both of those up there with Chester's best vocal performances. Waiting for the End and Iridescent are up there too.
Yeah for sure. Stuck with the same formula. I'm not a huge fan of Waiting For The End, it's alright. But I do love Chester's vocals in the end over Mike's raps. Sounds so good.
In no order: Papercut Numb Pts.OF.Athrty Bleed It Out Breaking The Habit Forgotten Burning In The Skies Lost in the Echo In My Remains Somewhere I Belong
I appreciate all the love Burning In The Skies is getting. ATS was a misunderstood album but I've been flying that flag since it came out.
I remember being underwhelmed at first that it was the opener for the album, but as it stands as just a song its fantastic.
Completely love that song it's such a jam! I agree I've been listening to ATS quite a bit recently. It's definitely the bands most ambitious I think in terms of sound. There's a lot going on that record that you don't notice without continued listening.
