Wow. Unbelievably terrible news. This one made my heart sink. Hybrid Theory and Meteora defined my interest in music as an early teen and I still revisit them. Just so sad.

Today would have been Chris Cornell's 53rd birthday. Chester was the godfather to Chris' children and was incredibly close to the Cornell family. He killed himself via hanging, the same method as Cornell.

 

Oh chester no.....LP is my favorite band man. I cant believe this.....

This is devastating. I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that the seed of my love for heavy/alternative/weird music was planted by Linkin Park. As long as I've been a huge music fan Chester was there. Never expected this could happen

 

Shocked. LP was my first favorite band and my gateway to this scene. I had the first 3 albums on my 360 and used to jam those albums while playing online. It's been a long time since I was invested in their music but for a period of my life when i was growing up this band meant a lot to me. Wishing the best for his family and the rest of the band.
