Dig the trap influence, but disappointed at how it never really kicked in. Could have dug a killer riff coming in halfway through to take it up to a finale but it was a decent track.
I feel like LP can pull off most styles tbh. Will be interesting to hear if Shinoda raps much in this record.
I'll always listen to what these guys put out. I haven't run through their later albums in a while, gonna do that again.
Not digging the new single and I was excited for the Kiiara feature. I get Maroon 5 vibes where this feels like a Chester solo song under his band's umbrella.
Just went through Living Things again. Realized why I haven't gone back to it a lot. Will revisit Hunting Party today, as well
If I remember correctly I actually really like Living Things because it was really out there and weird, and kinda pushed their bounds. I remember thinking Hunting Party was too straightforward and boring. But I could be wrong.
That's how I felt about A Thousand Suns. Really enjoyed it because it was weird and pushed their styles. Living Things was kind of boring outside of a few songs for me
"A Thousand Suns" was the high point of the band for me, except for that awful screamy acoustic closer.
So they made The Hunting Party because they were sick of everything on the radio sounding the same and the lack of rock music and now they release this song that kinda sounds like everything on the radio. Anyway, track is decent, nothing incredible.
I think it'll be a big radio song, and in that aspect it's enjoyable, but I'm disappointed in it as a Linkin Park song compared to what they've otherwise been capable of. I'm torn.
I dig it. I'm not 100% in love or whatever, but I enjoy it for what it is and am definitely looking forward to what the rest of the album is like. As a big fan of Minutes to Midnight, I've always been happy with a good Linkin Park pop track.
I've liked every album they've put out and I'm sure I'll like this one. Single is good and not really that different from the poppier songs they've written in the past.
