It feels like hype has died down quite a bit? I wonder if they'll release a deluxe version.

 

They released an a capella version and an instrumental version. Can you imagine playing them together?

 

iirc, they mentioned recording 30 or 40 songs, so they're probably saving some of them for another album

 

can't wait for the next album, "To Hero"

 

I actually liked this album and have completely forgotten about it.

 

Came and went so fast

 

I've had Good Things Go and Emptiness Machine in fairly regular rotation, but yeah I haven't gone back to the rest of this since it came out

 

Pretty much every album campaign dies the day it gets released these days and the focus is now on touring. Sure, some get sightly revived if a deluxe edition pops up or something along those lines but I don't see how the after release hype for this is different from any other big acts. This is just how it goes now, people have short attention span and move on to the next thing right away. Just look at how album threads on here go for a familiar example.

They're on a huge world tour and I continue to see endless discourse about Emily, their return etc. on my For You feed for every social media outlet. They're doing fine.

 

Yeah commercially it's performed fine, and it's done the job of getting people talking about them again. It's done VERY well overseas for sure (not meant as a dig at the current era cause they were more popular in Europe than the US even before the hiatus)

 

Ah right, being from France they feel bigger than they've been since the 00s (constant radio plays like the Hybrid Theory, Meteora and Minutes To Midnight days, popping up in ads etc.) so that plays a part in my perception of their success

Would be very interested to see and hear what a Teddy Swims fronted Linkin Park would of sound like!

 

Mike Shinoda did hint in an interview last year while doing press for From Zero that they have plans on working on new material at some point in 2025 but I didn't expect to maybe getting new stuff so soon!!

 

Deluxe version of from zero would be by guess. They recorded so many songs. I think even Colin said they had more stuff they did that they may or may not release

 

Just checked out this Teddy Swims fella and... I have a bit of an aversion to that pop soul-ish singing tone so I'm glad it didn't work out.

 

Ethically, it would have been better, but I find that whole genre pretty grating. Should have just gone with a different female singer.
