Ticketmaster turned on Platinum tickets today for the tour. Pretty sure for the general on sale tomorrow dynamic pricing will be active as well
This album got me thinking of an existential question that I often think about with many albums that are released these days. With the availability of almost ALL music EVER created on top of NONSTOP new content...what is the rationale to return to a mediocre and/or semi-good record at this point? Just too much demanding of our attention.
I'm surprised tickets aren't really selling. Saw a lot interested and I panicked and bought that underground pass to secure tickets for a group of 6, but seems for no reason lol. Just checked with venue presale pit tickets for $150. I got us center 3rd row seats tho so I guess will be a better view for us, but also paid more and would've been cool with pit.
Maybe I'm just jaded, but I feel like there's probably a big group of fans who were initially excited about a reunion and got hyped, but then the album and new lineup just hasn't really done it for them
The bigger markets are selling. Chicago is pretty well sold on the pit, lower level and 200 level. Toronto sold out of pretty much of everything for presales except vip packages but maybe people are just waiting since there’s been like 50 tours announced the past week
I checked last night and there were plenty of tickets left for the NYC show. Im sure these arenas will fill up, but it's just funny to think they originally wanted to do stadiums. And didnt Mike say he wanted MCR to tour with them? The band that just sold out their own stadium tour lol The album is debuting at number 2, and TEM will be their most successful single in like 15 years, but it just feels like they overestimated how big this reunion would be. At least in terms of the live show. Isn't there a rumor that Sick New World is about to be cancelled for poor sales?
I agree with your overall point, but I do think it's worth noting that My Chem is doing Black Parade in full for that tour. I'm sure if LP said they were gonna do Hybrid Theory and/or Meteora in full, they could justify stadiums (even if I still don't think they'd sell them out)
yeah the rumor Sick New World might get cancelled I heard last week, but not much the past few days ... and I'd honestly understand, I can't imagine Metallica/LP headlining made many people have to rush over to buy festival passes considering Metallica's been easy to see and on tour for 4 years, and then LP has its own huge 2025 tour now too ...
I think there's also probably some underestimation of the simple fact that it's not the original band. Regardless of what anyone thinks about Emily, I have to imagine there is a swath of people looking at this tour, and the pricing, and saying, "well, it's not really Linkin Park."
I was in the room for their live stream debut and was pleasantly surprised by an hourlong performance, including many of the classic LP hits. Because of that experience, I haven't felt the strong need to buy arena tickets for 2025, because of what you've suggested above. The live stream thing was great, emotional, and wildly electrifying at the moment, but even as someone who's historically been a huge LP fan, I just don't have that OMG I HAVE TO BUY TICKETS NOW feeling for '25.
Okay it was driving me crazy but other than the Demi Lovato comparison, Stained's chorus reminded me of another song and I just figured it out. Turns out it's another one from the same era of pop music as "Heart Attack". The melody and delivery in "Pretend you're spotless, but I don't wash away" sounds a lot like "So hear me out before you say the night is over I want you to know that we gotta, gotta carry on" Especially the bolded part
It's going to make me revisit her discography. It's a shame that despite the success she received at the time, it seems like she's essentially fallen under the radar since.
Wembley stadium has been selling really well in presales and From Zero is gonna debut at number 1 tomorrow at the UK album chart so I wouldn't be surprised if the wembley stadium show will sell out maybe quicker than expected
just stumbled across an AI video on Instagram of Emily and Chester hugging and singing together...... dumb
