Emily is the happy little cult soldier to go to court and attack victims. The same kind that killed Cedric's dog.
She was born and raised in it and probably has friends (and definitely has family) in it. The problem is that she can't really publicly call it out without not only being cut off from life long friends (and family), but she'd have her life at risk too. It's like going down to Mexico and flipping of a cartel member or going to an inner city filled with gang violence, going up to a gang member and telling them their gang sucks because they cause problems for innocent people in the streets. Yeah, morally her disavowing Scientology publicly would be in the right, but she's obviously not going to do it because it puts her life at risk and makes her lose connections to friends and family. I know for some people (especially when it comes to politics (post drump)) it's easy to do that, but for some people that connection is very important, and hard for them to just casually write off. Ultimately she's either a coward (which I think she is) or because she was born and raised into it, then it's so ingrained into her that it's a part of her core values.
You don’t know these people yet you can pontificate on the scenarios at play. It looks like you and Raku created profiles just to come defend someone “you don’t know”. More like a pathetic attempt to defend a band, you don’t know, because you have an unhealthy parasocial relationship with them. No one can reason with you because your logic is Trumpian levels of dumb.
I'm not defending shit... the irony of someone with no avatar, you probably just made this fresh account. I'm trying to be fair because I'm not being emotional... Emotionally I agree with everyone, fuck this band and fuck the sycophants defending them, they should be in hell.
The post you just made comparing flipping cartel members to scientology speaks volumes about your rational. thanks for the note on my avatar. I don’t know how I could even dare to post without an avatar.
So you're a dumbass who doesn't fucking understand how dangerous the cult is then? Tell that do the people who lost dogs or are stalked and had relationships ripped apart because they dare speak out due to this fake religion. Like I said, you are a moronic fool if you don't understand the fucking dangers in that. Don't you fucking dare say I'm defending shit when you don't know me. I try my best not to get emotional these days, but when you're acting like the clown that you are, I might as well oblige.
I don’t know if you’re being dumb on purpose but I’m well aware of scientology. Not sure where you got that I was down playing it. I’m referring to your general sense of immaturity and how blatantly dumb the comparison is. It’s about who you are. Not scientology. Nvm, just going to block.
Because it's the same thing you fifth grade drop out. Do you not understand the severity of calling out a dangerous cult? Do you not understand the loss of connections that she may have? And I'm sorry if your brain is too fucking slow to understand that it is the same thing. You mess with mafia, cartel, gansters, scientology then they make your life a living hell. You probably think Scientology is no different from Christianity which is flat out wrong. You call out a Christian church, they are bummed, but whatever. You call out a bad friend, that's the end of the relationship (maybe). You call out the mafia, they make your life a living hell. You call out scientology they make your life a living hell. Do you understand, or are you just bringing the circus to town today?
The thing is there is no evidence she would even want to call out her cult and plenty of her doing their harmful bidding based on her actions.
That's fair, and I will agree to that... I'm just pointing out the facts and I have some dumbass who doesn't even know me or the things I've dealt with in the past claiming I'm defending her or the cult of Scientology just because I haven't publicly condemned (till now) the cult, and am trying to keep things logical and not just getting emotional (again, until now).
And she doesn’t seem to feel bad about witness intimidation or her parents labeling people as suppressive. Creating propaganda for the machine and more specifically, hit pieces on those who oppose them.
So I haven't seen you denounce Trump at all, you voting for him? I'm voting Kamala because Trump has ruined our country and made it a joke to the rest of the world and we can't go back. What say you?
Also as harmful as scientology is they probably arent as dangerous as the cartel or else Cedric would have been silence like Chalino sanchez. I hope no one ever gets hurt.
So now that I'm done fighting with the Trump supporter... I'll address something I glossed over. Yeah, I don't get how people can view the rest of the band as blameless here. They clearly knew her history (or didn't care to learn) and just reformed the band with little regard for how Chester's family, friends and how certain fans view the band. Then you add the broken promises to a grieving mother? Not sure what Mike and the gang were thinking, or if they were thinking at all. It's just a sad situation over all.
Shifting gears... Them reuniting made me go back to the classic records for the first time in a long time, and first time since I've owned half decent audio equipment. My word, Hybrid Theory and Meteora are untouchable, perfect albums in my book. I loved them when they came out, but I think I forced myself to "move on" and "mature" in my music tastes, and I didn't go back to them often, but I really wish I had been keeping them in rotation more. Also A Place For My Head might be my favorite song of theirs now.
^I did the same thing. I think it was mostly because I never really liked Mikes rapping. Breaking the Habit was always a guilty pleasure of mine though
Also I've been listening to the new House of Protection EP a ton, and maybe it's because I've also been listening to those LP albums, but I can't shake that there's a similar feel to that EP as the magic that LP captured on those first two albums. It's produced by Jordan Fish who used to be in BMTH, so it's got that modern hard rock/metal sheen to it that I think is similar to what LP was doing back then too. I highly recommend it.
I liked the singles, but something about the whole EP made everything click wayyyy more for me. I've been playing it nonstop. Fuse and Better Off being left until release day definitely helped, as those might be my two favorites.
Absolutely it does. The whole EP is fantastic. For those who don't know, this is Stephen Harrison and Aric Improta. They both quit Fever 333 at the same time, and this is their new band with just the two of them, with what seems to be a lot of influence from Jordan Fish. Aric is also in Night Verses, and Stephen used to be in The Chariot, so there's a pretty good pedigree working in here.
