If anything, I’d be worried about them recruiting the rest of the band and not random fans outside a show. That would actually give them more power. That’s if they’re not already members considering how long they’ve apparently been working with Emily already.
Hell yes Michael edit: this is referring to @Michael Belt and not Digital Sea's avatar, per se, but also sure, that's a concern lol
Does no one remember that 5 year period where Tom Cruise used every interview and promo opportunity to push Scientology?? There is a very real concern that Emily will start using her platform to boast about the benefits of her cult, and rope in impressionable fans.
Wasn’t that like 20 years ago? If Tom fucking Cruise started keeping his mouth shut, why would she open her’s? Especially now after this happened. If she sticks around, there’s no way in hell you’ll see her reference Scientology. She needs to get kicked because she’s a shitty person that aligns herself with monsters and intimidates witnesses for them. Not because some people are just assuming (with no evidence) she’s going to go on a religious crusade as the singer of LP. What celebrity Scientologist even does anything close to that actually? We probably don’t even know half the celebs that even are Scientologists.
It would be incredibly shocking to see any type of preaching, discussion, or even mention of Scientology in or around the Linkin Park space. That isn't really how the church has operated for a while now, especially given the amount of attention and publicity they received, thanks in large part to Leah Remini's ongoing attempt to expose them. They want access to powerful, wealthy people who run in powerful, wealthy circles. Any attempt at recruiting or preaching is going to happen in those spaces, not to fans of Linkin Park. They're not going to do anything to jeopardize her place within the band, because she's going to make a lot of money and a lot of that money is going to funnel right to them.
Wouldn't be shocked, scientology famously gets members by "dealing" with their demons and mental health, and we all know that Mike went through a LOT
Makes it even grosser and it definitely ends any chances of anything changing here. Bummer. Scientology absolutely takes advantage of people in times of weaknesses and I would not be surprised if that’s what happened.
Yeah Rob is the one that has left the band, Brad is still a member but has taken a behind the scenes role in everything else but not touring
Yep! Brad not playing guitars with them on a stage for the foreseeable future doesn't meant he's out. Fans have noticed him in the new LPTV episode focusing on the day of the livestream, so he's definitely on the ride with them.
Ok, that's what I thought. I haven't been able to keep up with all the threads and discussions here. The Emily thing has soured me on being excited for new LP. Will definitely listen to the new album, but I'll probably just avoid spending money on them. They got enough from me for the HT and Meteora box sets anyways ha.
I'm a dumbass, I saw live premiere on Keys to the Kingdom haha. Shows that I haven't listened to The Hunting Party
