I mean, that's kinda his whole thing isn't is? His "reviews" mostly are just him verbalizing what the artist is performing on the album
idk, I'll say this, I don't think there's a person I have disagreed more in my life than melon lol literally useless to me.
6th most streamed song globally on spotify right now, which is up from yesterday as far as I know, so it's definitely not going poorly for them
Seems that way, and predictably they won’t comment on it as a band. They’re too deep now that they benefit nothing by doing it, other than maintaining some integrity.
I actually enjoyed the song when it first came out, and was getting kinda hyped on the album/tour. But this is all leaving a very sour taste in my mouth. Especially after rewatching Going Clear this weekend and starting up Leah Remini's show. Maybe when the album comes I'll give it a listen out of curiosity, but my excitement for this return has crashed and burned.
Based on what i've seen on social media yes Most of the fanbase will defend Emily no matter what because of Mike, they claim that this is what Chester would have wanted, and that the information from Cedric and his wife about Emily going after the victim is misinformation. Also that the ones who are against Emily beinh in the band aren't real fans.
My biggest fear is that Scientology is gonna try and start using LP as their poster stars. I hate the thought of church reps sitting outside the concerts and posting in message boards trying to recruit the fan base. Or worse, if Emily starts to use her platform to start preaching this crap in interviews or on social media. 4 episodes into this Leah Remini show and I truly can’t believe this cult is as large as it is
Well, fwiw, it seems a lot of people have been unaware of his reputation until right now. I'm sure they appreciate the support and may not have full context yet. Or, maybe it's the fact that both parties have something against the band now. Who knows.
Yeah and what makes this an increasing concern is seeing just how sheepish some of these stans are. Thursday at 9am none of those fans had even heard the name Emily Armstrong before. And by 5pm that same day they’re suddenly defending her honor with any critics of hers. Solely because she now has “Linkin Park” on her resume. Those people are such easy targets to be indoctrinated
I've decided the extent of my support for this new iteration of Linkin Park will be "acquiring" a copy of the album to check out in my library and that's it. Not even giving them the support of streaming it for charts. Skipped the vinyl, no merch, and definitely no tours. This sucks. My first "favorite" band growing up, and i was so pumped for their next chapter. Can't believe they blew it. I did watch the Apple Music interview, which made it clear this has been in the works for years. No excuse. If that cult really does start showing up outside of shows, seeping into LP's online spaces, or Emily starts spewing their BS and the band does nothing to call them/her out or stop it, I hope the backlash is massive. I'd hope the optics of parents speaking out about Scientologists trying to recruit their kids outside of shows would be enough to make others aware.
2 hour 27 song set list and they brought out some songs that they haven’t played in a long ass time or at all Linkin Park Setlist at Kia Forum, Inglewood
I seen clips on YouTube and I am not gonna lie but damn the band and Emily sounded so good.. I gotta call it like I see it
