I hope I can score tickets! If it, I will be hitting up the aftermarket. I must attend this at all costs
The cool part about all of this was the effect that Chester and LP had on all types of artists. This will be a magical night and incredibly emotional to say the least.
A lot of people are asking for that. If they're going to film it for a DVD, then probably not. If there's no talks of recording this, I'm sure it'll be streamed somewhere on their website.
I really hope they stream this in a theatre. They have done it before. I can’t attend since i’m in NJ, but LP is why I’m still here, alive and in the music scene. I’d love to be apart of this because any hint of getting just a tiny bit of relief or closure would help becasue this still hurts. It’s going to be an emotional night.
I'm in NJ and I'm thinking about attending. It's a once in a lifetime show! I just wish I knew how much tickets were so I can make a realistic decision.
tickets are within the $40-$169 range (before TicketMaster fees). I hope/assume a large portion of all ticket sales will go directly to charity, but I haven't seen any announcement about that as of yet...
I got a presale code for this for donating to the One More Light fund, but I live far away from LA and cannot use it. Anyone want it? PM me
Just got tickets to this. I've never been to the Hollywood Bowl but their layout seems completely weird. I'm in the 2nd row in F3 (closer to F2) and from the venue view, it's not too bad of a seat (basically the 300 section in an amphitheater). The Garden/Terrace boxes seem incredibly uncomfortable since it looks like 6 people are crammed into a boxed area. I couldn't believe those tickets were going for $750 on Ticketmaster so I can only imagine how much the Pool Circle costs.
It makes sense given the Blinkin Park tour got cancelled. Though I'm not clear whether they are one of the "friends" or if they're supporting, or... well, anyway, it'll be awesome.
The Bowl *is* weird. Terrace Boxes (where I'll be for this show) are always crazy expensive, as is anything closer to it but the Terrace seats are actually pretty good. Can get a tad close in there but view-wise, they're great. Haven't sat closer than that since the prices are even more insane. F3 will be great, the problem I have there is it's really hard to see anything other than video boards if you're in the middle of the Bowl up the hill, which feels like it's a mile away.
I have to assume this will be a hybrid of LP playing some music with guest vocalists and other 'Friend' acts playing their own tributes, a la Ryan Key doing something acoustic on his own, and I also expect everybody as a guest to speak about Chester, LP, their relationship and all that. It's going to be so sad.
I was going to get the $169 Terrace seats but there was only 1 seat remaining when I looked. The stage looks like it's pushed back quite a bit so I'm hoping the entire band isn't hiding behind the right side of the bowl. For me, it's about being there and not having Mike Shinoda look like an ant from where I'm sitting haha.
It definitely will be an incredibly sad show. I just hope it's not guest set heavy and it causes LP to do a short headlining set.
