When we have an article that requires an “atrocity key” for our president, it feels really defeating.

I, also, do not get Mansions.

I love Mansions, but I also understand your difficulty, especially with this album. I love all their albums for different reasons, but I feel like you might enjoy some songs from Dig Up the Dead or Doom Loop more than this, which is much more...chill, for lack of a better word. Songs from those albums have a little more *oomph* that I think you might appreciate.

Dig Up The Dead is a must listen. a few of the songs kinda blur in the middle, but it begins and ends incredibly strongly (especially if you have the bonus track All Those Dreams at the end of your copy). also some of my favorite economical, but very impactful lyrics come from that record; they’re always wrapped up so neatly but pack such an emotional punch at the right moments.

  6. FWIW, and maybe someone has mentioned this before but I’ve been away from the site proper for a while, adding these to pocket gives the user the option to listen to articles read to you almost like a podcast. I find the voice to have better inflection than Siri, which is what I used to use to listen to the newsletter. Basically a weekly chorus.fm podcast!

Also, “prom night” by the midnight is so killer
