I’ve seen Green Day 13 times, owned 60 cds (studio, singles, bootlegs) met them twice. I reached a certain point in my life where I just realized they weren’t who I thought they were when I was young and naive. I’m not going to get political (back and forth in this thread) or anything else, but I’ve seen them kick people out of their shows who didn’t agree with them politically. So much for “inclusive” which they brag so much about. Back to the point of this post, I can see them just being assholes.

Someone shares a genuine personal view point and every person continues to shit on them. I miss absolute punk but yes I realize its dead and gone. This is no longer community its now, think like me or fuck you.
This poster has gone out of their way to rile up others and made posts that have been removed for violating policy. That is not the same as "sharing a genuine personal viewpoint" and I know people can't be psychic and predict that this happened but it does show that there is almost always more than meets the eye on how an issue is treated on this website.
But even still I think it's silly that when someone posts "my beliefs say fuck you I hate you" and then everyone else responds "well then fuck you" the response is "what happened to having an OPINION that is DIFFERENT"

Because it genuinely feels like you’re online almost nonstop. In the span of roughly 48 hours you posted or interacted with threads about: Star Wars for hours at a time multiple gaming threads simultaneously politics Green Day discourse Saosin pronunciation debates “being in the mood for murder” “cops don’t count as people” “I hate America” organizing people to mass-block posters you disagree with And that’s just what was visible at a glance. You’re 42 years old. I’m 43. At some point there has to be a moment where a person steps back and realizes spending entire weekends rapid-fire posting across dozens of forum threads is probably not healthy behavior. The strange thing is you’re trying to frame me as unstable while your public activity log reads like someone chronically online and emotionally invested in nearly every internet argument happening in real time. Most adults with full lives simply do not operate like this. People with careers, families, responsibilities, hobbies, travel, fitness, social circles, projects, etc. generally are not posting hundreds of times across entertainment and political threads from morning until night for consecutive days. And to be clear, disagreement is not the issue. You’re allowed to disagree with me. That’s normal. What stands out is the intensity, frequency, and emotional investment level. The forum seems less like a hobby and more like a permanent residency. Honestly, the whole thing just came across sad more than anything else. I’m going to leave it there because I don’t think this is productive anymore.
