I'll always laugh that my parents got the uncensored copy for me for Christmas after it came out. I was 11 and Break Stuff HIT

 

lmao went to k-mart with my mom and the cashier was a narc who asked her if the cd was for me. he pointed out the parental advisory sticker and walked us back to the cd section to grab the edited version

 

unbelievable. that guy was the one who would remind the teacher about homework or a quiz when they clearly forgot about it.

 

if i remember correctly the way lyrics were edited on significant other was done in a way where you'd hear the first letter. so break stuff was something like... "A MOTHER FFFFF.... CHAINSAW"

 

On principle, I refuse to click on a video with that kind of thumbnail.

 

I appreciate and enjoy their cover of Don’t Change by INXS. Particularly because it seems the band wanted to express themselves after years of being crapped on as a shitty band to only have a resurgence in popularity. I like to think “don’t change” is the band speaking of their music/sound
