Are you really listening to a Limp Bizkit record for the lyrics though? Don't think anyone is saying Fred is a poet ! Lol

 

It's not like there's a lot of sick beats or riffs for this thing to hang its hat on.

 

Turn it up bitch has some serious Cypress Hill vibes and I dig it.

 

Cypress Hill immediately came to mind the first time I listened to it.

 

The riffs in Out of Style and Dirty Rotten Bizkit would like to have a word lol.

But in all seriousness - respectable opinion. It's still a strange day when the majority of the opinions on a new LB album in 2021 are positive, so there's def room for some criticism.

Also a fun bit of trivia from Wikipedia, the Out of Style riff has been kicking around for at least a couple of years

 

Oh damn - you’re right! I remember watching that YouTube vid a few years ago and wondering what the full song would sound like. I imagine it went through numerous iterations as “Wasteoid” before it became “Out of Style”.

Also, Style is my favorite track on this record.

 

I never heard this before. Feels like they tried to make their "Not Afraid" or something. Glad this is a one off lol

Oooof yeah I'm very glad they didn't go this route other than this one song. Feels totally like they just worked with some mainstream pop producer who mostly wrote the song for them. Really weird one.

I disliked pretty much all of the songs in the Cash Money era, except Ready to Go. That song is stupid fun.

Also hell yes to The Unquestionable Truth being their most underrated material. They go friggin hard on that EP.

 

I like to pretend the Cash Money era never happened... I guess they do too.
