This is surprisingly not bad lol. Fred's rapping isn't as cringy or as bad as in the past when he took himself way too seriously. This is just fun and what I'd want from anything Bizkit in 2021 lol.
I'm in my 20's and this slaps lol. I remember loving Rollin' when it was number one over here, and I must have been like 6/7.
I’m 35 and my girlfriend is 32. She went to school in Jacksonville (which would have been after their SO/Chocolate Starfish period) which funnily enough makes her almost proud of LB even though she didn’t grow up listening to them. The Lolla aftershow made her a huge convert and I witnessed a LOT of Gen Z/younger millennials around me at Lolla slowly get into it during their festival set. It was magical.
I'm 26 and love this but my brother is 34 and introduced me to them (and pretty much everything I listened to in high school), so
FWIW I’m 26 and was definitely an LB hater before… but I came around. I’m enjoying the hell out of this.
On first listen this is really fun. I didn't expect to hear Fred going for screams based off how much he limited them Lollapalooza weekend. Wes continuing to prove he is the best nu-metal guitarist by a large margin.
Absolute cheers to that! Even with Rollin' I don't think they were taking themselves TOO seriously. It was just different times. It's way easier to appear self-aware now with social media and all.
yeah - it all depends on what you're trying to get out of a record / band like this. I can agree they aren't for everyone. But if you go in with an open mind, I think there's a lot of fun and enjoyable music on here. Only two listens in and have multiple different tracks stuck in my head.
