Second listen while at the gym this morning, and it definitely slaps. If they had announced the physical release today I definitely would’ve thrown my money at it lol
Can't wait to jam to this later, I listened to about the first 3 tracks on my way to get McDonald's breakfast
We're almost all between 30 and 40 years old in this thread, aren't we?? i tried playing this in the car today and my wife (28) was like "no. Absolutely no." Within the first 45 seconds lol
I guess my point is that you probably had to be at least 10-12 years old when SO came out to really appreciate the Limp Bizkit cultural impact. And anyone that was 20 or older at that time probably thought they sucked to begin with. Just interesting is all lol
I'm 31 and my 25 year old partner would not even give Dad Vibes a chance lol I put it on the beginning of a playlist
Hahaha normally I would agree with you that unless you were between 12-18 in 1999 you wouldn’t see the appeal of LB. BUT watching that livestream at Lolla, a lot of the crowd did look like they were in their 20s.
I did notice that too which I thought was so cool. Probably a lot easier to get into a band in a live setting/festival environment though than being subjected to it on a car stereo whilst running errands hahahaha
A few things: They have a self awareness now where they aren’t taking themselves too seriously and that makes this much more enjoyable. There are more rock focused songs than rap focused, which I was not expecting. I feel it’s a more mature sounding LB album.
