I was getting gas in my car early on Saturday morning in Philly, bumping "Uproar" with the door open. Dude rolled by on a bike and was like "yo, that that Carter V?" and I nodded and the world felt good.

There's some solid stuff in here, definitely not the album I expected but it's also better than I expected from a 2018 Wayne

Yeah, my expectations for this were pretty much rock bottom, which is why maybe I like it more than others. I stand by what I said last week, definitely a good 12 track album in here.

I pretty much agree with the score and sentiment on pitchfork

Yeah I get chills every time I hear that last verse in Let It All Work Out.

If this truly is his last album that's such a great line to hang it up.

Went back and listened to some of his earlier material and damn are tracks like Dr. Carter, Stuntin’ Like My Daddy, Mo Fire, and 6 Foot 7 Foot fucking good.

  13. Carter III is still a masterpiece and Carter IV is underrated. Don’t need to sit here and say how good Carter II is because we already know.

    So I take it III > II > V > I > IV is the overall consensus?

Went back through Carter II today, not really that into it, a FAR cry from the creative peaks of Carter III
