Same. First Lil Wayne album, but I’ve listened to it twice already and now am sure I like this.

Aggressively "meh" for me. Don't think I'll ever listen to this again to be honest.

I'll give it a more honest listen later, but last night I briefly skimmed through most songs quickly (Haven't been a Wayne fan since Carter III) and the only song that really stuck out to me was Mona Lisa. Which was absolutely great.

I can always be better, so I'll always try. Supporter

He’s a lot more narratively driven than on previous efforts, which is really cool to hear.

You guys had me ready for a banger banger with Mona Lisa. That was a weird ass song

  9. Was hyped to play this on the subway this morning but not gonna lie, the fact that X is on it really took the wind out of my sails. I can’t do that right now after yesterday’s hearings.

    hey you lil piss baby

Got through the beginning to Mona Lisa. It's mostly fine, but nothing that justifies me listening to an hour and a half of this, at least not in one sitting. Mona Lisa really is unreal though, what is this

Wasn't Post Malone supposed to be on this?

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

once you're past Don't Cry this album starts off incredibly strong up through Open Letter, and the last run of 7-8 are really beautiful, honest, self-reflective tracks that I was not expecting at all. the stuff in-between is... not particularly good

that sounds like a review for most current mainstream non-concept rap albums haha

lol that doesn't surprise me at all, way too much hip-hop is longer than it needs to be with all the filler in the middle

There's probably a good 12-track album in here.

It’s because of how Billboard processes streaming data, that’s literally all it is

    This ain’t it.

Mona Lisa is some “trapped in the closet” mess.

I liked what I heard of this. But before playing it I played "Let the Beat Build" and got sad about how important Weezy was to me and how any loosie verse that we could find online was played on repeat as we waited for the next tape to drop. It's sad that my enthusiasm/his work has dropped off so much. He ruled a big part of my high school experience.

A 100 song Drake album, dropped on New Years Day to carry us through the year, is going to happen in my lifetime haha

I'm glad I stuck with this because the last 5-6 tracks are great, and the closer is probably my favorite song on here. There's just a ton of fat in the middle to trim, but yeah I think there's a great 12 track album here.
