Apps are the worst. It's like, why have a resume?

 

At this point in my job search it's more like, "why did i bother going to college?"

 

I will probably need to do a lot of Uber driving this weekend to make sure i can pay rent and stuff next week, but I also need to look for something better I can do with very flexible hours

 

My car isn't nice enough to do Uber.

 

I hear you man. I'm in a good spot now, but my career has nothing to do with my degree.

One of my best work friends just got a promotion to manager and I'm just sitting here withering away as a line level. I'm very excited for her but goddamn I'm tired of the same job after three years. Bleh.

 

I'm sick of mine after one year. Need to get back to school so I can get out of it.

 

Same. I really need to finish my degree. Or something. Ugh.

 

I would love to have a job to be sick of.

Currently unemployed. Dreading finding a job/ school starting back

 

I'm hoping to hell I can go to school one day a week and use the rest of my vacations days on class day.

 

I know Knoxville is cheaper than most places in the US to live, but I wonder how many of these companies realize their salaries are well below the poverty line.

 

What kind of numbers?

It's insane to think companies can get away with that. I guess that's what people are willing to except out of desperation?

It's pretty common to see $9.25-$12.50 an hour or $20k-$25k a year around here.




Unrelated: Oh look, the law firm I quit a year ago is still trying to hire someone to do my old job. Hard fuckin' pass.
