I still need to listen, I've been late coming to her this year and still obsessed with her first two.

OK, this album is GREAT! Why is no one talking about it??!

I haven't listened to Lights since Siberia, but this album popped up on my radar this weekend. I'm loving this. Was perfect for a long drive I had last night.

Enjoying this album so much I decided to do a discography run yesterday/this morning.
Aside from the nostalgia that Siberia brings, I just can't really get into much from her first 4 albums.

A6 might be my instant favorite, but also really enjoying PEP.

Where would you recommend starting with her? I dabbled a bit with the first couple albums, especially Siberia back when it came out but haven't ever really fully listened to anything and am interested in starting.

Hard question, but maybe either Skin&Earth or PEP to get a lot of different styles from her. Little Machines is the most straightforward pop, you know Siberia it seems, and the debut is very dated but not in a bad way. My gut is telling me PEP for you, then Skin&Earth

Awesome thanks, I'll give PEP a go soon!

As a very recent Lights fan I just did a full catalog run through, and Skin & Earth was easily my least favorite. It just feels so dated. Maybe if I heard it back in 2017 I would've been more receptive, but listening now it just sounds like what every pop artist was doing back then.

A6 is my favorite but it is very different from the rest of her catalog (aside from White Paper Palm Trees). Like Steve said PEP is probably the best starting point as it blends a bunch of her eras.

  10. Skin & Earth is one of my favorite albums of the past decade. Some massive hooks on that record. PEP is also really great. I've tried going back through her catalog a bit, but nothing prior to S&E has grabbed me much yet.

Ha maybe I need to give S&E another try! Its just songs like Giants drive me nuts. Reminds me of something Imagine Dragons would do.
I do remember liking Skydiving, though.

  12. Giants might be my least favorite track on the record. It is a little generic IMO

Giants sucks. Delete that song and listen to the rest of the album

Listened to this on the drive home with no expectations (never really listened to her besides a cursory listen to S&E) and loved this album
