I'm surprised how well Rebel Girl has been holding up for me. Almost been out for 2 months and I still listen to it constantly.

 

Shame we won’t get the album it’s on until 2020 by the sound of it

 

I don't know about that, though. If AVA was continuing to self release their albums, then yeah I can totally see Tom procrastinating this for another year. But they're signed to Rise Records now, I'm sure the label has a firm delivery date for the album.

I know Tom said it's supposed to coincide with a movie release, but I have a feeling this "movie" will just be like a 20 minute short that will wrap up production quickly. Maybe I'm being too optimistic lol

 

He makes it sound like a full movie. Which hasn’t entered production yet

Reel 1 (Diary) - I love this thing. Feel 5 is good though! Had to listen to it to know what it was but it’s a cool vibe

Chasing Shadows - look, the wicker basket line aside, this song is a jam. Wicker basket almost doomed it though. Like wtf? Beyond that, this song brings the feels. Best Tom song in some time.

Rebel Girl - I love overload but it does too many things that are just weird for the sake of “doing the other thing you didn’t expect.” Stay in the pocket, Tom.

Voyager - view from below sounds like two different ideas.
