Licorice Pizza is great, Soggy Bottom is awful.

 

I wish we knew which films and filmmakers the major auteurs hate. They weren't shy about bashing each other in the 60's and 70's.

I always found it fascinating.

I think Quentin Tarantino did some sort of backhanded compliment to Paul Thomas Anderson even when praising his work, but I can't watch more than a couple seconds of Tarantino in interviews.

 

I love Tarantino in interviews. Way more interesting than most.

There’s a good interview back from when PTA made PDL and he was asked why he casted Sandler in that role. In so many words he said, “because he’s hilarious. He makes me laugh.” Pretty sure he went on to praise Sandler’s comedy films leading up to PDL
