Been a member since 2014, and quickly became one of my favorite parts about watching a movie; heading to Letterboxd to see how others felt. Mark Renkens’s profile
Been slightly obsessed with letterboxd since about 2011. I have shit taste in movies, but I've always had fun on here. Michael Gatto’s profile
So does choosing Shortbus as “a movie that is about/exemplifies freedom” make sense to anyone else or am I crazy? I’m getting shit for it.
Has anyone here used Listnd? I was searching for an album equivalent to Letterboxd and apparently this is it. I'm still working out the mechanics lol but I did sign up Music Reviews and Tracking For Fans, By Fans | Listnd
I don’t use the site so I’m not really sure what the context of this is, but I would definitely consider that to be accurate.
Finally got round to cataloguing my Blu-ray collection which Letterboxd is great for doing - Every Film I Own on Blu-ray
I passed my total from last year on Saturday though I think it is unlikely I'll top my all-time high of 480 from 2017.
Been a member since the beta back in January '12. I took a gap year somewhere between then and now, but I've otherwise used it more consistently than most tracking services. Here's my profile.
How do you see how many you've watched in a year? I just 100 for this year, which is more than recent years but I'm just remembering when I would be at 300-400+ a year. Ah, life.
Michael’s profile Just made one and spent the last 2 hours rating all the movies I've seen. Will probably write actual thoughts/reviews starting when I see JoJo Rabbit this week.
Was just browsing my stats for how many films I have watched per decade and it seems I have watched 600 films from the 2010s which is nearly three times as many as the next highest decade, have to say I had no idea the gap was so wide but that might be down to how many of those six-hundred are forgettable in comparison to other decades.
Way more likely that you’ve just naturally been more aware of movies that have come out within the past decade than ones from before you were an active, present consumer
Maybe, probably a combination of factors really but it just shocked me how large the gap was especially since as I was going through each decade from the 30s onwards the number of films gradually increased but that leap was unexpected.
According to Letterboxd I watched slightly more films in the 2000's than I did in the 2010's. I became a lot more selective as the years have gone on, but the 2010's were the first full decade that I took film seriously.
