I was like "yall gotta be exaggerating, this can't be that much better", and I'm so happy to be wrong
Was going to post these exact issues I had as well. Really don’t like it but aside from that? Pretty solid step up with new elements I never even heard previously in the original mix. Wild stuff.
Yeah it sucks to have a complaint about something as cool as this, but the missing vocal track in That Fear Fever really is a bummer! They should have at least left in the “oh!” that hits right on the 1 - the “yeah! yeah!” part that follows just feels like it comes outta nowhere now. All in all though it’s not that big a deal and I’d rather have it this way than not at all
Genuinely curious to hear why you feel this way. On the contrary, many of them to me feel more relevant than ever. White America’s Beautiful Black Market is the first one that comes to mind.
Yeah, if anything I’d say they’ve aged a lot better than many other bands’ lyrics from that era of post-hardcore
White America's Beautiful Black Market really might have their best chorus. not a new observation but the dropoff from this album to IITD was nuts
Virgin Dirt is truly goated, a career highlight that finally gets to shine with this mix. I think I might like it even better than Muther in a similar register.
this latest spin on my monitor headphones has me wondering if it's their best album, it's really like listening to a whole different beast with this mix. 27 Club is their magnum opus
They really came into their own on TBB and I’m glad people are coming around to recognizing it lol. FH is incredible but it still stays within a specific, and done before, wheelhouse
Yeah, it was my fav from them. The production didn’t bother me as much as most. I think I heard that it sounds like you have it cranked in an old car stereo…but as someone who listened to nearly all music cranked on a car stereo growing up, it worked for me!
the cheapest way to get me to smile is to put on 27 Club. what a song. i’ve listened to it like 10 different times since the remaster came out and I always wanna hit play on the album again. so glad the band put this new version out
I was one of the people who found the production issues of the original really really troublesome but I listened to the re-master today and wow, this is exactly what I wanted the follow-up to Fake History to be. Much much better and a worthy follow up.
This Amazon livestream is a bit of a bummer, but I’m not really faulting the band. Mix is awful and Jason already said he can’t hear at all on stage and they made Fever 333 and letlive. play back to back so I’m sure he’s fucking exhausted.
It started out pretty rough but has gotten better imo. Banshee went off. Thought Muther sounded pretty good too for the most part, obviously he only sang like half of the song but that’s par for the course with them lol
