Well, mine doesn’t even have a blurred version. Haha. Just the outer sleeve and two plain black inner sleeves for the records
I’ve finished the album and it gets a pass from me for sure. Really enjoyed it. I mentioned earlier that I got the white with black splatter variant but mine is black with white splatter (differing from the mock up on website) genuinely think this could be a misprint. It’s definitely ‘the dope beat’ Dan features on and it’s definitely ‘the dope beat’ on the record (not dreamer’s disease)
Am I tripping or does TBB sound better on Apple Music already?? I just put it on and it sounds less shitty from a production side I think?? I’m probably just subconsciously coping with the fact that I wanna hear this remaster/re-recording super bad lol
I am astounded that they apparently re-recorded this. The promo materials did say “reimagined” or something, but I never would have guessed it indicated the whole thing being redone.
I’m skeptical that they actually re-recorded this because if so - why wouldn’t they promote that when announcing this? Seems odd. Would love to be wrong though..
Apologies, if I’m wrong but to me it sounds like there are new parts added and some vocals are definitely sung differently. I assumed that it had been.
The alternate mix for a couple songs that was up on another producer's website back in the day also had parts that weren't on the album version and vice versa. Or maybe they just weren't audible on the released one. Basically the post above lol
Sometimes a new mix will switch a harmony/lead so I can definitely see how it could sound like a totally different performance. Coheed recently pulled that on me with the new version of Deranged.
Well, it’s fooled me into thinking it was redone. Haha. I’m listening to it again just now and I’m thinking ‘this part definitely isn’t in the original’ or like certain guitar lines haha. I’m not clued in with production tricks etc. or however they go about mixing it either. Have you got a copy? I’m curious, if you do could you please confirm if your copy has a booklet or any insert (excluding the records with their sleeves) and if your copy has it noted down as dreamer’s disease featuring Dan Campbell on the back of the record or does yours say the dope beat featuring Dan Campbell? Many thanks
We're going to end up having a crappy vinyl rip that doesn't sound any better than the original aren't we
