The new Fever stuff is pretty different from everything they've released to date. I don't know if anyone here will really like it if they weren't into what came before it, but it's a new direction for sure
Pretty sure Pressure Cracks are wrapping up a full length and that has me hyped. Fever 333 ain’t for me and I’m sure whatever direction Jason goes with it won’t change that.
Here for this The Blackest Beautiful appreciation. I wonder if they're going to acknowledge the tenth anniversary in a couple months.
Album is good but the production of that album makes it damn near unlistenable to me. The songs are so good though. Getting to be warped with them when that came out was one of the coolest experiences
I feel like LL would have definitely been able to take the learning lessons of TBB and IITD and made a home run after that album, but I’m sad they were never able to see a similar level of success as Fever
Damn, I think I would have the same answer. I have friends that refuse to listen to Thursday A City by the Light Divided because of the production, and even TBB makes that record sound like a finely polished gem side-by-side.
Thursday's ACBTLD sounds great. I will never understand the heat that album's production takes. It's miles better than WATT's
Honestly don't understand the hate that the production on TBB gets. I think it sounds great. Jason said a few months back that it'd be getting a remastered vinyl pressing at some point for its 10th anniversary. Pressure Cracks also confirmed the new album is basically done, so that and a new Fever 333 album before 2023 is up is feasible. RE: the future of letlive., I had their guitarist Jeff Sahyoun on my podcast a few weeks back to discuss his new project Erase Theory. We talk a bit about the end of letlive. and stuff, so might answer some questions for y'all who are interested. EP #45 - Jeff Sahyoun (Erase Theory / ex-letlive.)
That was a great conversation, really appreciate his attitude about everything and the gratitude that comes out of him. Laying the end of letlive. out the way Jeff did, it makes more sense why it felt so abrupt at the time. It makes me more hopeful a reunion may eventually happen than if it had been a bitter breakup with everyone on bad terms with each others. The bit about Klayton came out of nowhere so hearing him go off about already rebranding his solo project due to his legal threats, just the coincidence it all as I had just listened to Celldweller's new album made me lol. On the positive side, I do prefer the new name... but yeah, must be annoying to have to go through stuff like this right as he releases music for the first time in so many years.
Do we have any more info on that remaster/repress of TBB? Fever is back in full swing (pun not intended), but that album is one of my all time favorites so I hope it still gets its due as alluded to.
