Shout out to the Last Hour of the Last Day Of Work and the interplay between the lead guitar line and the rhythm guitar.

 

Really wish I coulda made it to Wake N Bake those setlists were awesome. Hoping that Portrait of a Cigarette Smoker, Sleep It Off, Anchor, Mr Chevy Celebrity make it into the summer sets at some point

Anthem came out in 2003 today

 

Incredible record

 

First time I cut class was to go buy that record.

 

Still love that record.

 

Fantastic record but needs more horns!

 

Its definitely their last truly great record, but everything after has been at least good!

 

Losing Streak through Anthem is a fairly underrated run in the scene. Borders and Anthem while not quite classic are extremely good.

 

I downloaded Anthem on a whim the morning of my 8th grade class trip to Washington DC and it ended up being pretty much the only thing I listened to for the next few days. To this day it's still one of my favorite albums.

 

Anthem forever my favorite, they tapped into something really special there

 

There was a stretch from like 1999-2004 where some absolutely foundational albums for me were released. Anthem is definitely part of that group.

 

Yeah they’re all top tier in my opinion. I love borders especially super underrated

 

Anthem was the essential perfect blend of ska & pop punk album in general.
