I'm pretty sad, I had a gig come through which means I'm going to miss Wake and Bake this year. I would fly home the day after Wake and Bake...
Know the feeling. Meg Myers played in my area (Rochester, NY) exactly one year ago today, but it was the same day as my best friend's wedding in which I was a groomsman, so I couldn't go haha. Happy anniversary to him and his wife, though haha
The downside of working gig to gig haha. I missed Murder By Death last year, and then again this year, as well as Rehasher last week, and something else next week lol. I had tickets for all of these shows, but thankfully since they're smaller bands I'm not losing a ton of money on the tickets and I still get to support the band so to speak.
My Losing Streak and Rockview still haven't showed up and I'm starting to get a bit anxious. I've had a few packages stolen from my house and I'm hoping it hasn't happened with these records. Are any of you LTJ fans still waiting on your first pressing orders? I'm just curious if they have all been sent out or it's a slower process?
I just realized you said first press. I didn't get first press, so mine shouldn't arrive until the summer, I think. My mistake.
Check your order confirmation email. There should be an order status link and you can see if it's been shipped yet. Buddy ships out all their mail-order so may take a minute. I know this week they were supposed to get their allotment of the Live from Astoria records to start shipping as well.
I still haven't got them and I cant find my conformation email, since I cleaned it out a few weeks ago. I did have the payment taken out of my paypal acc in February. This sucks. I'll still wait another week until I contact LTJ.
Just in time for the second press to start shipping out haha. Though I see two additional variants that weren't on sale through LTJ/SmartPunk's web stores... Link
My live record came in the mail, yesterday! I'll be home from vacation tomorrow morning & can't wait to listen to it!
I listened to that record on Apple Music and really enjoyed it. I normally don't do live records either.
Was listening to California all week and started thinking what a Feldman produced Less Than Jake album would sound like. Maybe a better version of IWTOC?
Yeah I mean I never had a problem with the pop/punk direction IWTOC took and there were some great lyrics on that album. Production just took all of the energy out of it. It really would be a great team-up I think. The dude knows how to produce some catchy pop-punk and Goldfinger's history shows he knows his way around a horn part or two.
