boring single, but im definitely curious what having new drummer will do for this band raj sounds gr8
New single is not anything special imo but I know this album will have a couple of absolute bangers on it because LTJ albums always do so subbing.
I've listened to the song a bunch and I actually really like it, definitely stands out more than anything on See The Light
Song definitely grew on me. On first listen I wasn't sure what to make of it, but it took to me pretty quick. Still feels like LTJ. Reminds me a little of one of the Lost at Home songs in the vocal melodies, Just Like Andy. Roger wrote both songs, so that makes sense I guess. And resident vinyl post, Indie Store Exclusive (/400) is up for preorder through most record stores, so check with your local shops if you want it. And if you're in the UK, the UK exclusive variant (/500) is up over at Banquet Records.
I really like Lie to Me after a few listens I must say. And Dear Me is pretty good on first listen too.
Love that JR has a more active role in writing and lead vocals. Too good of a talent to not tap into.
He's an amazing songwriter. He's had quite a few songs end up on the albums over the years. And even most recently, the Sit Around, from the Lost at Home sessions was one he wrote. I think on the See the Light, John the Baptist Bones or Bless the Cracks were a couple of his songs.
Halfway through right now and I've been thinking the same thing. I haven't been super into anything they've done since GNV FLA so this is really nice.
One full listen so far, and this is an extremely solid effort from LTJ. Songs are catchy af and the execution from both a production and songwriting standpoint is very tight. Not a bad song on this one. Looking forward to some repeat listens.
“Lie To Me” is connecting a lot more in context Digging the album overall, i miss Vinnie’s lyrics tho
